New York City credit card issuers have just announced that they’re expanding their offering of prepaid cards to cover more than 60% of all credit cards in the country, with more to come.
The move is designed to make the credit card cards more valuable by making them more affordable and easier to use, but there are some caveats.
As we reported last year, the new card options will still only cover the cards that issuers offer, and the cards will not be subject to a monthly fee, so you will have to keep paying off your card before you can use the credit cards.
The issuer also doesn’t have to pay back any interest you have earned.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the new cards:You can choose from a selection of cards, including:The credit card offers a 10% annual fee, no monthly fee and a 2% annual percentage rate on purchases.
There’s also a free 2-year Visa Prepaid Card, a $50 statement credit, a 2-day trial of Visa Signature, a free 30-day Visa Business Prepaid, and a $100 Visa Ultimate Rewards Credit.
Here are the other new card offerings:In addition to the new credit card offerings, there are also two prepaid cards, a credit card that can be used on up to four devices, and an e-credit card that lets you make payments using your smartphone, tablet or PC.
It also includes a 2.5% ATM fee, but that’s for the cards in NYC only.
As you might expect, the prepaid cards have some additional perks.
The credit card will have an annual fee of $15 for an annual membership and a free 3-day credit, while the prepaid card can be added to any of the issuers Visa Signature or Visa Business plans, with the same card options as before.
The card also has a 2X annual fee for the 2-credit credit card and a 1.5X annual credit for the 1-credit prepaid card.
